Hi, I've just perused the check register listing for the EDP and notice that there are 23 checks that were written throughout the year that have either NO info for them (the missing info appears to have been covered or whited out?)or only a name and NO amount. Have you requested the missing info? Also, after having looked through other of your posted check registers I wonder why the entities whose checkbook is reflected in each list of disbursments don't list a brief description of each payment.......which is required for audits and by statute?

The requester of the EDP has noted the issue with the check register and is taking the appropriate steps to rectify the situation.

As far as the check registers posted on the site, in general, you are right. I think for the most part when check registers have been requested, just the check number, check date, payee name, and check amount were requested.

Your suggestions about asking for a brief description is a good one and that information will be included in future request for check registers.

Of course the next step with any check register is to take specific check numbers that interest you and ask for all the details (itemized bills, receipts, invoices, and statements) associated with that particular check.
