The Woodlands, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor) - At approximately 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning, a Jeep Wrangler drove into a house at the corner of Ellwood and North Millbend Drive in The Woodlands, Texas.
It appears the vehicle failed to properly negotiate a right-hand or a left-hand turn at the intersection, sending the vehicle across a ditch and through some small trees, before hitting the house.

The driver of the vehicle, Lindsey Stover, a 21 year-old female, was taken into custody by Texas Department of Public Safety personnel after failing a field sobriety test. She was charged with DWI and possession of an open alcohol container.

A whiskey flask was found inside the vehicle and witnesses on-scene reported smelling alcohol soon after the accident. Despite a small tree piercing the windshield of the vehicle, she was not injured during the incident.

The homeowner was sitting in a chair reading a newspaper when the vehicle entered the house. She was knocked out of the chair onto the floor but did not suffer any injuries.

Agencies on scene included The Woodlands Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and Montgomery County Hospital District.
