Spring, TX (Montgomery County Monitor) - At approximately 4:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department and The Woodlands Fire Department were dispatched to a residential fire on Timber Lakes Drive near Nodding Pines. At the time the call was dispatched, information indicated individuals may still be inside the burning structure.

Woodlands' units soon arrived on-scene indicating there was a working residential fire. Timber Lakes units arrived soon thereafter.

Witnesses stated two Woodlands firefighters, John Lampl and Justin Bumpass, rescued one female from the burning structure. Shortly afterwards, at approximately 4:20 a.m., command made the decision to go to a defensive mode. Firefighters then attacked the fire from the outside using a deck-gun mounted on one of the fire engines.

Two individuals were transported by ground to Houston treatment facilities and one individual was transported by ground to a local treatment facility.

A representative from the Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office arrived on scene to begin an investigation into the cause of the fire.

No other injuries were noted.
