Vehicle Runs Stop Sign, Hits House
Montgomery County Monitor (Spring, TX) - Just before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night, a truck traveling at a high rate of speed slammed into the bedroom of a residence located near the intersection of Glen Loch Drive and Sawdust Road in the Timber Lakes subdivision.

Firefighters from Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, Montgomery County Hospital District Medics, Montgomery County Sheriffs, Precinct 3 Constables and Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to the scene.

Eyewitnesses sitting in the southbound lane of Glen Loch Drive at the intersection with Sawdust Road, noticed a white truck traveling at a high rate of speed on Sawdust Road headed towards the intersection. As they watched, the driver of the truck failed to stop at the stop sign and continued to drive his vehicle through the intersection, eventually coming to rest only after making contact with a house adjacent to the intersection. Witnesses claimed the driver made no attempt to brake during this incident.

No occupants of the house were injured in this incident.

The driver of the truck was slightly injured and was taken into custody by DPS troopers for suspicion of driving under the influence.
