On Monday, September 8, 2008, Conroe Police officers responded to a reported home invasion style robbery involving five victims and two armed suspects. It was also reported that one of the victims was also kidnapped by the suspects.
Victims stated that approximately 3:30 am, they heard a knock at the door and when one of the residents opened the door, two black males forced their way into the apartment located in the 1400 block of South Frazier. The suspects allegedly brandished shotguns, told the victims to lay on the floor, and then began to take the victims' wallets, cell phones, and other personal items.
Before leaving the residence, the suspects ordered the victims into a bathroom and told the victims not to come out. One victim identified as Otis Mitchell, 17 years of age, was not placed in the bathroom and was allegedly taken from the scene by the suspects.
Conroe Police investigators are interviewing the remaining victims and are attempting to locate Mitchell at this time. Investigators are following up leads on the suspect vehicle which was described as a "box style maroon Cadillac".

Otis Mitchell was located unharmed at approximately 7:00 pm on September 8. Mitchell was interviewed by CPD Investigators and released to family members. Mitchell's statements to investigators were informative and investigators are continuing to follow leads in the case. As Mitchell's recovery is an integral part of this is on-going investigation, details of the recovery cannot be released at this time.
