On 5/08/08 at approximately 8:15 P.M. Deputies from Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to 19751 Hwy 105 W at the KOA RV Campgrounds in reference to a shooting. It was found that Perry Hook, a 58 year old male, had been struck in the abdomen by a stray bullet fired from the wooded property adjacent to the campgrounds. The male was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital by Montgomery County Hospital District EMS where he was pronounced D.O.A. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Major Case Squad Detectives were called to the scene. After working through the night, Detectives were able to locate two suspects in the shooting and both suspects were taken into custody.
Eliseo Maldonado, 23 year old from Conroe and Gregg Lamon, 32 year old male from Montgomery were charged with criminally negligent homicide and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
