District 1 - Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)
On 04/17/08 Deputy Peckne and Deputy Ray located and arrested Daniel McSwain, a 34 year old white male on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Consumption of Alcohol on Licensed Premises, Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. McSwain fled on foot through the neighborhood, but was captured by Deputy Peckne. A Fleeing charge was also accepted by the District Attorney's Office.
On 04/19/08 at 4:48 PM, Sergeant Ward met with a female at the 11,000 block of Amber Park, in Conroe, in reference to a Terroristic Threat. A 49 year old male had made threats to the complainant when he said he was going to burn down her home and burn her animals with her. The male suspect assaulted the complainant by slapping her in the face. The suspect was gone when Sergeant Ward arrived at the location to take the report. At 9:50 PM the suspect returned to the residence and Deputy Degner located and arrested him. This suspect is also under investigation by the County Fire Marshall's Office for Arson.
On 4/20/08 at 10:30 PM, Deputy Kader located a 34 year old white male riding a bicycle near Highway 75 and Calvary Road, in Willis. This act alone was not alone considered very strange, except for the fact that this guy was carrying a large roll of copper wire hanging over the handle bars. He had no story as to how he came to be in possession of this copper wire which was suspected stolen; due to the fact that numerous copper and aluminum wire thefts have been reported lately in the area. The wire was impounded, pending a disposition hearing scheduled with the proper court.
On 4/22/08 Corporal Bagwell was taking a lunch break at Cici's Pizza, in Conroe, when he encountered a belligerent customer who was refusing to pay for his soft drink. The customer demanded a refund from the clerk and then began cursing in a loud voice while inside the restaurant. The customer was escorted outside where he reportedly refused to settle down and cooperate with the Sheriff's Deputy. He was arrested and charged with Theft and Disorderly Conduct.
On 04/25/08 at 3:00 AM, Deputy Kader was dispatched to the 14,000 block of Ophiuchus Court, in Willis, in reference to a Family Violence-Assault. The investigation revealed that a 43 year old female came home after drinking alcoholic beverages and assaulted her husband. The husband was reportedly bleeding from abrasions to this face and nose. The female was arrested for Assault - Family Violence and an active Theft warrant.
On 4/26/08 Deputy Ray was dispatched to the 14,000 block of Enchanted Waters, in Willis, in reference to a Disturbance in Progress. Deputy Ray arrived to find that a 19 year old male had almost destroyed the inside furnishings of the home while swinging a four foot section of pipe, then several hundred dollars in damage was done to a vehicle parked outside when the suspect used a tire and steel wheel to beat up on the vehicle hood. This individual was arrested for Assault and Felony Criminal Mischief.
District 2 - Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)
On 04/21/2008, 2130, Sgt. B. Fitzgerald was contacted in reference to an intoxicated driver in the area of Woodlands Parkway and Gosling Road. The vehicle was located in a parking lot. The driver had difficulty producing his driver’s license. Driver had slurred speech and unsteady balance. Field sobriety tests were performed and W/M, 43, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, F 3.
Cpl. S. Spiller and Deputy Martin observed a vehicle with expired registration southbound on I-45 service road. A traffic stop was conducted and a glass pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana was observed in the rear floorboard. Methamphetamine, marijuana and several items of drug accessories were found in the car. Driver, W/F, 17, was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana. Passenger, W/M, 22, had an active warrant and was also arrested.
District 3 Lt. Jim Fleming (East County)
On April 21, Deputy C. Turrentine was sent to the area of Hwy 59 and FM 2090 in reference to an assist call. The Deputy was advised by a Montgomery County Detective that a drug transaction had taken place near the Valero and the Detective had attempted to intervene when the two males involved jumped in a vehicle and took off. The Deputy was able to locate the vehicle on Hwy 59 South. After detaining the male driver and the ensuing investigation uncovered the male to be in possession of crack cocaine. The passenger had jumped from the vehicle prior to the Deputy locating the vehicle and conducting the traffic stop. The 31 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 6:16pm and transported to jail.
On April 22, Deputy G. Harman stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of FM 1485 and Hwy 59. The female driver did not have a drivers license or insurance. A male passenger was found to be highly intoxicated. The 40 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 8:45pm and transported to jail.
On April 23, Deputy J. Guion was notified of a family violence assault call in the 19100 block of FM 1485. The Deputy met with the male complainant who advised he had been assaulted by his female roommate after he told her he wanted to break off their relationship. The male advised she grabbed him by the throat and choked him. He was able to release her hands and then she scratched his arms and chest. The 35 year old female from New Caney was arrested at 2:15am and transported to jail.
On April 23, Corporal J. Staggs was advised by dispatch of an attempt to locate on a stolen vehicle and that the vehicle was being tracked by OnStar. Several Deputies were in the area of Northcrest Ranch subdivision. Deputy Staggs located the vehicle at Northcrest Circle and Mustang Lane. A 36 year old male from Houston was arrested at 4:45am and taken to jail.
On April 23, Deputies J. Hamilton and J. Howze were sent to the 18400 block of Old Houston Road in reference to a family violence assault call. On arrival Deputy Hamilton observed a male actively fighting with his brother. The Deputy gave verbal commands for the suspect to stop and the suspect aggressively moved toward the Deputy. Deputy Howze arrived and also gave verbal commands which were ignored. The Deputy used his intermediate weapon which had no affect. A fight ensued and all involved ended up in the back yard. The intermediate weapon was again deployed to no avail. Six Deputies were involved in the incident to finally control the situation. The 32 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 7:30am and transported to jail.
On April 23, Deputy J. Guion responded to a family violence assault call in the 20100 block of David Lane. The Deputy met with the female complainant who advised she and her boyfriend had gotten into a fight and he had struck on the face above her left eye. The Deputy observed the injury and that the male had marks on his hand indicating the assault. The 44 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 11:50pm and transported to jail.
On April 24, Deputies S. Ortiz and R. Layman were dispatched to the 18400 block of Hollow Oak Court for a theft call. On arrival the Deputies met with a Harris County Deputy who was detaining a male suspect who had taken items from a person's property. The owner of the property was summoned and advised he did not know the suspect nor did he give the suspect permission to remove the items. The 17 year male from Porter was arrested at 1:53pm and taken to jail.
On April 27, Corporal J. Staggs was in the area of FM 1485 and Mexican John Road when a green passenger car was observed by the Deputy to be swerving from the turn lane to the shoulder of the road. The vehicle was observed to run a red light and turn on Vick Road. The Deputy was finally able to get the vehicle to stop on Luke Davis Blvd in the middle of the road. The male driver was found to be intoxicated. The 20 year old male from Porter was arrested at 10:10pm for DWI and transported to jail.

A 25 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 11:21am, April 21, in the 16300 block of Texas Star Court by Deputy J. Armstrong for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was aware of the male's location. The male was transported to jail.
A 39 year old female from New Caney was arrested at 6:00pm, April 21, in the 23400 block of FM 1485 by Corporal K. Hayden and Sergeant B. Welch for an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle warrant out of Montgomery County. A second subject, a 19 year old male from New Caney, was arrested at the same time for a motion to revoke warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputies were conducting a warrant service. Both subjects were taken to jail. The female was on the fugitive warrant list.
A 20 year old male from Porter was arrested at 10:30pm, April 21, in the 21100 block of Hwy 59 by Deputies K. Koonce and J. Bruce for five traffic warrants out of Patton Village. The Deputies were investigating a possible theft. The male was transported to jail.
A 29 year old male from Kingwood was arrested at 11:55pm, April 21, by Deputy J. Walker who was notified by Houston P. D. the male was being detained. The male had an active warrant through Montgomery County for DWI. The male was transported to jail.
A 19 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 12:30am, April 22, in the 26100 block of East Christine Drive by Deputies K. Koonce and J. Bruce for a bond forfeiture/burglary of a habitation warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputies were conducting a warrant service. The male was on the fugitive warrant list. The male was transported to jail.
A 28 year old male and a 23 year old female both from New Caney were arrested at 1:01am, April 22, in the area of FM 1485 and Baptist Encampment by Deputy J. Walker for traffic warrants out of JP 4 Montgomery County. The male was driving and the female was a passenger in a vehicle that the Deputy had stopped on a traffic violation. Both were transported to jail.
A 21 year old male from Huffman was arrested at 11:00pm, April 22, in the 23900 block of Stanart Road by Deputies S. Ortiz and R. Layman for three traffic warrants out of JP4 Montgomery County. The Deputies were investigating a trespass call. The male was taken to jail.
A 31 year old male from Humble was arrested at 10:00am, April 23, in the 23400 block of Hwy 242 by Deputy R. Meredith for a parole violation warrant out of Austin. The Deputy was advised the male was being detained by Detectives. The male was transported to jail.
A 22 year old male from Porter was arrested at 7:58pm, April 24, in the area of Perkins Drive and Oak Drive by Deputy C. Murray for a harassment warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a vehicle disturbance. The male was transported to jail.
A 31 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 1:50pm, April 26, in the 25500 block of Lakeshore Drive by Deputy S. Oritz for an order of arrest warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a family violence call. The male was transported to jail.
A 48 year old male from Humble was arrested at 6:21am, April 27, in the 11600 block of Sweet Clover by Corporal D. Miller for a criminal trespass warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a 9-1-1 call assisting another Deputy. The male was taken to jail.
District 4 - Lt. Art Galloway (West County)
On 4/22/08 Deputy J. Herman was dispatched to Keehan Dr in reference to a theft. Upon arrival at the location he met with the complainant who stated someone had stolen the AC unit from the property. It was a Kenmore valued at $1,200. Case referred to detectives.
At this same location the complainant stated that someone had broken into the residence and torn down several walls. The paneling had been removed and the copper wiring stolen from inside the walls. Total dollar loss estimated at $3,000. Evidence was obtained and submitted to the crime lab. Case referred to detectives.
On 4/24/08 Deputy G. Kerr was dispatched to Shady Oaks in reference to a theft report. When he arrived at the location he met with the complainant who stated his nail gun and chain saw were missing from the shed located behind his home. Cost to replace the items estimated at $600. Case referred to detectives.
On 4/24/08 Deputy K. Krolczyk was dispatched to Winding Creek Court in reference to burglary of a building. When she arrived on location she met with the complainant who advised that various items (sporting goods, lawn equipment, and various tools which included welding machine, 2 grinders, cutting torch, and band saw had been taken from his white metal storage building. Total dollar loss (including damaged metal door and frame) estimated at $3,525. Case referred to detectives.
On 4/25/08 Deputy A. Gurka was dispatched to Gable in reference to a burglary report. The complainant (not the owner) stated someone had burglarized the house (just a shell with no doors) and taken approximately 3500 feet of copper electrical wiring. Some copper A/C tubing was taken as well. It will cost $7, 456 to repair the damage and replace the wire. This case referred to detectives.
On 4/25/08 Deputy E. Diaz was dispatched to Pierce Hill in reference to burglary of a building. When he arrived he met with the complainant who stated she noticed that tools were missing from her shed. The estimated value of the tools is $617.00. Case referred to detectives.
On 4/26/08 Deputy T.R. Slusher was dispatched to Water Oak Ct in reference to burglary of a motor vehicle and theft of checks. Upon arrival he met with the complainant who provided the information for the report. It will cost approximately $300.00 to replace damaged door lock on the 2004 Ford F-150. A personal organizer valued at $100.00, 8 checks, and an unknown quantity of various customer cards were also removed from the vehicle. Case referred to detectives.
On 4/27/08 Deputy T.R. Slusher was dispatched to SH 249 regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival he met with the complainant who stated the locked truck had been parked in the driveway of the residence when he left on 4/26/08 at approximately 5:00 pm. When he returned on 4/27/08 at approximately 7:00 pm the truck was gone. Deputy Slusher took the report and referred the case to Auto Theft Task Force.
On 4/28/08 Deputy E. Diaz was dispatched to FM 1486 in reference to a theft. When he arrived on location he met with the complainant who advised that someone had taken his tool box from the back of his truck. The value of the tool box is $200.00. Case referred to detectives.
On 4/28/08 Cpl. F. Webb was dispatched to Coe Loop in reference to burglary of a vehicle. When she arrived on location she met with the complainant who stated he locked his vehicle at midnight. When he returned to his vehicle on 4/28/08 at 11:00 am someone had busted the driver side window out and taken numerous items from inside the truck. The estimated dollar value of the broken window and missing/stolen items is approximately $1,680. Case referred to detectives.
District 5 - Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)
April 21, 2008 @ 11:56 am. Deputy J. Farmer responded to a Welfare Check on Leonidas Horton Road. When Deputy Farmer entered the house he found the living conditions extremely poor. He observed bugs and roaches every where in the home. There were bugs on the floor, in the washing machine, in the sink, the refrigerator, in the bathroom, bed, and bugs were crawling on the children. The home had twenty (20) dogs and thirteen (13) cats in the home. All of the animals were in poor health. Deputy Farmer contacted CPS and they came out and removed the mother and the children. Animal Control was contacted and they also came out and removed all the animals. This case will be forwarded to the Detective Division for any follow up investigation.
April 23, 2008 @ 1:53 pm. Cpl. D. Wilkins and Cpl. L. Smith responded to a Burglary of a Building call in the 13600 block of Hwy. 105 West. The complainant said unknown suspect (s) made force entry into a vacant building through a door and stole over $20,000 worth of copper wiring. Cpl. Wilkins and Cpl. Smith recovered latent prints of the suspect (s) and sent them to the Montgomery County Crime Lab for processing. This case will be referred to the Detective Division for follow up.
April 27, 2008 @ 4:42 am. Deputy J. Farmer attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 14600 block of Hwy. 105 West. The driver (suspect) of the vehicle then began to flee refusing to stop. The suspect violated several traffic laws while fleeing from the deputy. The suspect then stopped the vehicle and began to flee on foot on Mohawk drive. The deputy found the suspect was caught and refused to give his correct name and date of birth. The suspect was arrested and placed in the Montgomery County Jail. Bond was set at $1,500 on the Evading in a Vehicle and $500 for Failure to Identify.
April 14, 2008 @ 5:30 pm. Deputy J. Enloe made a traffic stop in the 11400 block of Twain Drive. While talking to the driver (suspect) she became very nervous and said she had just got out of jail a couple days earlier for possession of cocaine. Deputy Enloe found .5 grams of cocaine inside the purse. The suspect was arrested and placed in the Montgomery County Jail.
April 17, 2008 @ 2:11 PM. Cpl. D. Wilkins responded to a Burglary of a Habitation in the 7100 block of Drew Lane. The complainant said unknown suspect(s) entered a home she owns took all of the copper wiring out of the walls. The value of the copper wiring was $500. When the suspects ripped out the wiring they damaged the sheetrock in the home. Cpl. Wilkins recovered several pieces of evidence at the location. This case will be forwarded to the Detective Division for follow up.
April 20, 2008 @ 10:00 pm. Deputy C. Favorat made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 12200 block of FM 1097 West. When he made contact with the driver of the vehicle he discovered the driver to be intoxicated. The driver (suspect) became very violent. Deputy Favorat ask for a back up officer. After help arrived the suspect was taken into custody and placed in the Montgomery County Jail. Bond was set at $600.
District 6 - Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)
On 04/25/2008, 1933, Deputy D. Weatherford was dispatched to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a theft. Complainant advised two subjects entered the store with large purses which appeared to be empty. One subject chose 10 items of clothing and second subject chose 2 items and exited the store without paying for merchandise. Loss Prevention officer escorted both back into the store. One W/F, 19, was arrested for Theft M/B. The second white female was released because her items totaled less than $50 and store did not wish to pursue charges.
On 04/28/2008, 2048, Deputy D. Weatherford responded to movie theater at 1600 Lake Robbins Drive to assist Lt. Kim Franklin with a theft. Upon arrival, Lt. Franklin was observed speaking with a male and female. The male subject had taken a money bag from the theater. He was detained and the female, who had alcohol on her breath and slurred speech, advised the male’s name and DOB. She also advised he had a handgun, marijuana and drugs inside his vehicle. In plain view, a bag of marijuana, pill bottle and handgun were observed inside suspect’s car. Suspect, W/M, 27, was arrested for Theft, M/A, Possession of Marijuana, M/A, Possession of Dangerous Drug, M/A, Fail to ID, M/A and Firearm Possession by Felon, F 3. The female subject was arrested for Public Intoxication, M/C.
