On March 26, 2008, around 7:30 PM, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies where dispatched to a residence on Stone Fox, located in south Montgomery County. When deputies arrived deputies found two individuals dead inside the residence.

Murder Suicide

Deceased, Sharon Rachel Robbins W/F 37 DOB 4-4-1970, was found in the living area of the residence with injuries to her neck and a gunshot wound to her head.

Deceased, Richard Eugene Robbins W/M 39 DOB 9-21-1968, was found in the upstairs area of the residence with a gunshot wound to his head.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Sharon and Richard Robbins were separated and going through a divorce. Sharon Robbins was living at her mother’s residence along with her two children. On March 26, 2008, Sharon Robbins went to the residence to meet with her husband. Sharon Robbins’ mother became concerned when her daughter did not return and went to the home on Stone Fox.

Upon her arrival at the residence, she could not get a response at the door or make contact with her daughter. The mother then went back to her residence to pick up the couples eleven (11) year old son so he could help gain entrance into the residence. The child entered the residence through the garage door and found his mother dead inside. The child ran from the residence alerting the neighbors which resulted in the 9-1-1 call to the Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators believe that Richard Robbins killed his wife and then took his own life. The investigation is continuing.
